• The regular meeting of the Holton Township Board was called to order at 7:05 pm at the Holton Township Hall, 6511 Holton Whitehall Road.

  • 070121 Trustee Jager made a motion to approve the June 8, 2021 regular meeting minutes as presented. Second by Trustee Thompson. CARRIED.
  • 070221 Trustee Jager made a motion to approve the June 21, 2021 Budget Hearing minutes as presented. Seconded by Treasure Halbower. CARRIED.
• Payment of the Bills
  • 070321 Trustee Jager made a motion to approve the payment of the June’s bills as presented. Second by Trustee Thompson. CARRIED.
• Business From the Floor
  • Online mapping for the cemetery. Quotes have been given to the board.
• Treasurer’s Report
  • 070421 Trustee Jager made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented. Second by Trustee Thompson. CARRIED.
• Department Reports
  • Zoning/Ord. Etc. $1,217 on permits.
  • Fire Department-
• Fire Dept answered 39 calls in June. 215 more calls for the year. The last five years call have gone up 75%. 
  1. Library-
• Summer Reading Program, “Tails & Tales”, is going very well with over 100 registered readers.
• Our library is now open with no restrictions.
• There will be a Story Walk at the Library and  Park, July 26-31, open to everyone.
• Planning in-person programming for all libraries this Fall.
• A satellite library in Laketon Township will be opening soon with Wednesday (11-7) & Thursday (9-5) hours.
• Hours at Holton will be changing on August 1 – M, F – 9-5, T, W – 11-7. Closed on Thursday, S – 10-2.

• Correspondence- Gypsy Moth – Allan is going to meeting tomorrow at 2:00pm. Working on what we can do. He will keep us informed.

• 070721-Trustee Jager made a motion to approve for $100.00 to submit for application for Mark Hawks name on the Michigan State Firemen’s Association Memorial Wall.  Second by Trustee Thompson. CARRIED.

• 070821-Treasuer Halbower made a motion to approve Purchase of Lawn Mower for Cemetery for $5,600. Second by Trustee Jager. CARRIED
• 070921-Trustee Jager made a motion to pay $173.30 to Dornbos Sign for road signs. Second by Treasure Halbower. CARRIED
• 071021-Treasure Halbower made a motion to pay $250.00 for speed limit sign on East Lake Road. Second by Supervisor Jager. CARRIED
• 071121-Trustee Jager made a motion to accept Leonard Sprague’s Marijuana application for recreational grow. Second by Clerk Coburn. CARRIED
