07-15-01 Motion by to Chair Williams to approve the July minutes.
Support by Member Eastling. CARRIED.
07-15-02 Motion by Board Member Halbower to approve the agenda. Support by Vice
Chair Monette. CARRIED.
Public Comment
Alan Jager
Mr. Jager brings up the need to the DT district event permit and is looking for Planning
Commission input so that the township has “special event regulations” in place.
Board Member Halbower asked how to ensure events have insurance. Alan Jager clarified that
it is required, that insurance certificate must be sent directly from the insurance agent, that the
township’s filter agent (who typically carries fall insurance) is listed in case something goes
wrong. Secretary Coon brings up need for events in the township.
Discussion switches back to rezoning conversation. Chair Williams brings up flag zoning;
Board Member Halbower expressed opposition. Josey Derby shared updates from Muskegon
about tiny home regulations and that Muskegon allows tiny homes in neighborhoods.
Discussion around lowered standards for roads/easements/shared driveways.
Planning Commission discussed a possible Tiny Home Ordinance.

07-15-04 Motion by Chair Williams to approve the regular meeting dates for 2025/2026.
Support by Secretary Coon. CARRIED.
Jennifer Hodges to present at the board meeting from Inside Out Housing (projection/vision for
SE portion of development).
