1. The regular meeting of the Holton Township Board was called to order at 7:07 pm at the Holton Township Hall, 6511 Holton Whitehall Road.

5. Review the Minutes
   a. 100122 Trustee Jager made a motion to approve the September 13, 2022 regular meeting minutes as presented. Second by Treasurer Halbower. CARRIED.
   b. 100222 Trustee Jager made a motion to approve the October 10, 2022 Election Workers Board meeting minutes as presented. Second by Treasurer Halbower. CARRIED
6. Payment of the Bills
   a. 100322 Trustee Jager made a motion to approve the payment of the September 2022 bills as presented. Second by Trustee Thompsen. CARRIED.
7. Business From the Floor
   a. Jim Berghius from 10815 Schow rd-stressed another comment about buyer would not buy his house because of neighbor’s yard. Was advised to keep in touch with Julee, the ordinance enforcer.
8. Treasure’s Report
   a. 100422 Trustee Jager made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented. Second by Clerk Colwell. CARRIED.
9. Department Reports
   a. Fire Department-
   • Fire Dept 28 Incidents, 6 mutual aid, year to date 271 runs, Open House on the 19th from 6-8pm. Will be handing out candy on Halloween.
   b. Library-
   • Introduced Christina Le Vey-Rowland as the MADL Lead Librarian for Holton/Montague Libraries.
   • Continue to have story time for young families on Wednesday’s, 11:15 am
   • Hosted Superhero movie at library. Will have more superheroes activities on October 18 and November 8
   • Author, Madeline Miller, will present an author Talk Live Stream, on Monday, November 14 at 7pm.
   • Book club continues to meet each month.
   c. Ordnance enforcer gave a printed update on things. Doing a great job.

12. New Business: a. 100522-Trustee Jager made a motion to accept Dennis Battjes bid for the senior millage snow plowing, second by Treasurer Halbower. CARRIED b. 100622- Trustee Jager made a motion to appoint Region 6 MADL Board Member, Second by Treasurer Halbower, CARRIED c. 100722-Treasurer Halbower made a motion to appoint Tammy Jager in charge of elections if clerk and deputy clerk are unable to be present, second by Supervisor Jager. CARRIED d. 10012022-Treasurer Halbower made a motion we spend up to $1,500 on 4 benches for the park out of covid funds, Second by Clerk Colwell. CARRIED Roll Call Vote: Clerk Colwell, Yes; Treasurer Halbower, Yes; Supervisor Jager, Yes; Trustee Jager, Yes; Trustee Thompsen, Yes
