• The regular meeting of the Holton Township Board was called to order at 7:03 pm at the Holton Township Hall, 6511 Holton Whitehall Road.

  • 090121 Trustee Jager made a motion to approve the August 10, 2021 regular meeting minutes as presented. Second by Treasurer Halbower. CARRIED.
• Payment of the Bills
  • 090221 Trustee Jager made a motion to approve the payment of the August bills as presented. Second by Clerk Coburn. CARRIED.

• Summer reading ended on August 21. Prizes to our winners have been awarded.
• Re-model progressing-looking at carpet
• Mark your calendar for “Christmas in Holton” scheduled for December 8- 6-8PM
• The new bookmobile will be at our library on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 6-8PM
• Fall/Winter newsletter is now available
• Tech classes are being offered at our library – 2^nd Tuesday of Month
• Issues with our security system at library.
• Cemetery-computer system, plans for securing new system? Supervisor Jager is going to look into some.

• Unfinished Business
• 090421 One bid for snow plowing for seniors.  Treasurer Halbower made a motion to accept the contract from Charles Victory for $25 per driveway, no more than 20 driveways at a time. Second by Trustee Jager. CARRIED.
• New Business:
  • Talk of needing a secretary for Fire Department
  • Roads-no roads are being done this year, so next spring we will have more money for roads.
  • Trustee Jager motioned to appoint Supervisor Jager to be Holton’s Marihuana Enforcement Official. Supervisor Jager must report back to the board. Second by Clerk Coburn. CARRIED.
  • 090521 Trustee Jager made a motion to hire Keith Conkright, William Kaeding, John Carr and Kyle Wildfong for the position of Probationary Paid on Call Firefighter pending successful completion of a physical examination and to also spend up to $15,700 for physical’s and PPE for each of the new members.
  • 09012021 Trustee Jager made a motion to accept resolution 09012021 to adopt Pastor Matt Stoll as the Holton Township Fire Department Chaplain. Second by Clerk Coburn.

• 090621 Trustee Jager made a motion to accept the contract Fire Protection Agreement with Cedar Creek Township. Second by Treasurer Halbower.

• 090721 Trustee Jager made a motion to accept the request to purchase two sets of Dual purpose gear for Deputy Chiefs not to exceed $1,166.00. Second by Treasurer Halbower. CARRIED
  • 090821 Added onto agenda-Trustee Jager motioned to spend up to $10, 000 to fix the 1920 fire truck. Second by Clerk Coburn. CARRIED.
  • 090921 Trustee Jager motioned to have begun a closed session meeting at 8:16pm. Second by Clerk Coburn. CARRIED.
  • 091021 Treasurer Halbower made a motion to begin open the meeting back up at 8:41pm. Second by Trustee Jager. CARRIED
