Truth in Taxation Budget hearing now in session. The number of mills to be levied is 3.739 to support proposed budget and will be the subject of this hearing.  (Breakdown of mills: 1.0939 for Township, 1.9317 for fire Department Operations, and .748 for fire Department Equipment)

Resolution to Impose Property Tax Administration Fee

06012019 Trustee Jager made the motion to approve the resolution to authorize the imposition of a one percent (1%) property tax administration fee to offset collecting tax costs. Second by Clerk Hippler. Roll Call Vote: Trustee Jager, no; Clerk Hippler, yes; Supervisor Jager, yes; Treasurer Halbower, yes; Trustee Schroeder, absent. RESOLUTION PASSED.

Representative for Real Estate Matters

061019 Trustee Jager made the motion to designate Supervisor Jager to act as liaison for all Township Real Estate matters, requiring all real estate decisions be made by the board for approval. Second by Treasure Halbower. Roll Call Vote: Trustee Jager, yes; Clerk Hippler, yes; Supervisor Jager, abstained; Treasurer Halbower, yes; Trustee Schroeder, absent. Motion CARRIED.

Salary Resolutions

06022019 Clerk Hippler made a motion to approve a resolution to increase the Treasurer’s salary 2% starting the July 1, 2019. Second by Supervisor Jager. Roll Call vote: Trustee Jager, no; Clerk Hippler, yes; Supervisor Jager, yes; Treasurer Halbower, abstained; Trustee Schroeder, absent. RESOLUTION PASSED.

06032019 Treasurer Halbower made a motion to approve a resolution to increase the Clerks salary 2% starting July 1, 2019. Second by Supervisor Jager. Roll Call vote: Supervisor Jager, yes; Trustee Schroeder, absent, Clerk Hippler, abstained; Trustee Jager, no; Treasurer Halbower, yes. RESOLUTION PASSED.

Motion to Adopt Budget

061119 Trustee Jagermade the motion to approve the 2019-2020 Fire Department Budget: 206 Fire Operations $228,000, 216 Fire Equipment $130,000, 207 Fire Volunteers $1,800. Second by Treasurer Halbower. Roll Call vote:  Supervisor Jager, yes; Treasurer Halbower, yes; Trustee Jager, yes; Clerk Hippler, yes, Trustee Schroeder, absent. CARRIED.
