Amendments to Agenda:

Add discussion on Zoning changes – reply from township attorney

Correction on address – 7999 Skeels Rd. to 7650 Skeels Rd.

Correction on spelling – Mellet to Mullet

Motion by Mike Cygeirt, supported by Tim Ylitalo to approve minutes of March 18, 2014 as presented. Motion carried.

Public Comments on non-agaenda items – None

New Business

Public Comments – None

Mr. Melvin Mullet, 7650 Skeels Road, Holton, presented his request to modify Special Use Permit for expansion of existing pallet shop (Speical Use Permit granted in 1994). Written documentation was given to commission members to review proposed changes.

Ken Schaub reminded Mr. Mullet the original approve Special Use Permit was still in effect. Also concerns on diesel engines and noise in neighborhood.

Public Hearing was set for June 17, 2014 at 7:05 p.m. Mailing to neighboring residents by June 2, 2014.

Unfinished Business

Zoning Ordinance amendments from township attorney were reviewed and discussed. Tom West to schedule a meeting with Mr. Hughes to finalize amendments for public hearing.

Public Hearing was set for July 15, 2014 to approve amendments.

Commissioner Comments – None

Next meeting to be held on July 15, 2015 as well as a Public Hearing on Amending Zoning Ordinance of Holton Township at 7:05 .m.

Continuing Education continues to be available to Planning Commission members.

Motion by Mike Cygeirt, supported by Ken Schaub to adjourn at 8:50 p.m. Motion carried.
